Air Cadet Fajar Rizal (15) of 209 (West Bridgford) Squadron has spent a week’s work experience with the Royal Air Force at RAF Cranwell. During the week he spent time with 16 (R) and 45 (R) Squadrons which operate training aircraft and the RAF Police, Air Traffic Control, Physical Training Flight and the RAF College Band.

Fajar, who goes to the Becket School said of his week, “The most enjoyable experience about the week was working with a team of people I had never met before. I enjoyed my time with 16 and 45 Sqns and being with the College Band was great because I heard them practicing for a concert with Brian May. Air Traffic and the Physical Training Flight were very interesting and I found the whole experience enjoyable, informative and worthwhile.”
